X-ray technicians and others will hold an assembly at Hadassah University
Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to
protest yet another violent incident against its staffers.
On Thursday
morning, the son of a patient attacked two X-ray technicians in the urgent
medicine department. He had accompanied his father to a computerized tomography
(CT) scan and became physically violent toward the technicians because he was
apparently dissatisfied with waiting in the queue.
The medical staffers
suffered light wounds and were treated in the emergency room. The police were
summoned and arrested the attacker.
The Hadassah Medical Organization
said that Sunday’s meeting would include condemnation of violence against
staffers.
