Shmulik Krauss died on Sunday. He was 77 years old.
Krauss
was hospitalized at the Ichilov
Medical Center
less than two weeks ago and was diagnosed with swine flu. The hospital
announced his passing later Sunday evening.
Krauss
was born in Jerusalem
in 1935. He began his musical career in the 1950s. In the late 1960s he was a
member of iconic Israeli band Hahalonot Hagvohim (The High Windows) and the 'Lool
Clan.' In Hahalonot Hagvohim Krauss performed alongside his wife, Josie Katz.
Krauss
suffered from ill health in recent years and his situation deteriorated rapidly
after contracting the flu virus.
He
leaves behind a life partner and three children.
