Meretz supporters and public housing activists will march in protest in front of the Supreme Court Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
The demonstration stands in preparation for the filing of the State's response to the petition, filed by former Meretz MK Ran Cohen and Meretz MK Ilan Gilon, to the High Court of Justice requesting the implementation of the 1998 Public Housing Law.
Gilon, who called the government "a last offender" said that, "we are requesting that the High Court of Justice instructs the government to stop deriding the Welfare Law for public housing tenants."
The march, mobilized by Ruth Korian (31) - a religious woman living in public housing in Petah-Tikva - begins from her house and continues on to the Supreme Court in Jerusalem.
"It's important that the tenants who saved every shekel in order to pay for their apartments arrive tomorrow to protest," Corian said calling upon tenants to join the protest.
"The government is violating the law and obstructing our 'very' basic rights," she continued.
