Ya'alon: Israel working to retrieve dead body of soldier held by Hamas

Israel is utilizing diplomatic channels in hopes of retrieving the body of a soldier declared killed in action in the Gaza Strip last month, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said late Sunday.
Ya'alon paid a visit to the family of Staff Sgt. Oron Shaul, the Golani infantryman who was declared killed in action after his armored personnel carrier was hit by a shoulder-fired missile in the Gaza Strip during the early stages of the ground incursion last month.
Ya'alon told the Shaul family that the soldier's body was in the hands of Hamas, and that Israel will insist that the body be returned.
"We are committed to bringing Oron to burial here in Israel," the defense minister said. "We won't rest until this happens, and we are dealing with this issue. We will make sure to update you on any developments, and my door is always open to you in the event you have a question."
