Joe Lieberman pulls out of Glenn Beck's 'Courage' rally

US Senator Joe Lieberman on Sunday pulled out of an event being put on by US broadcaster Glenn Beck later this week.

The only featured democratic speaker at the event, Lieberman said that he could not attend due to family reasons.

In a statement, a spokesman for the senator said, "Senator Lieberman supports this event and wishes he could be there in person to express his support for a secure and free Israel, for Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel, and for a rock-solid US-Israel relationship based on shared, eternal values and common current interests and enemies."
