Steinitz to residents: Accept conditions for love of nation

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz called the resignation of 250 medical residents on Monday "illegal and immoral" in an interview with Army Radio.

The resignations followed the most recent round of failed round of negotiations with the Finance Ministry over working conditions and salaries.

Responding to the residents' assertion that they could find better jobs outside of Israel, Steinitz responded that there are hundreds of thousands of people who could get better salaries abroad, but stay in Israel for Zionism and for love of the nation.
