Robert Baer: Israel will probably attack Iran in September

Israel will probably attack Iran in September, Robert Baer, a veteran CIA officer who spent 21 years in the Middle East, told a Los Angeles radio show on Tuesday.

While the CIA officer didn't reveal the sources behind his prediction, he did name some Israeli security officials who have publicly warned of an Israel attack on Iran, including former Mossad head Meir Dagan.

Baer told the KPFK Los Angeles show Background Briefing that previous comments made by Dagan that an Israeli attack on Iran could lead to a regional war "tell us with near certainty that Netanyahu is planning an attack, and in as much as I can guess when it's going to be, it's probably going to be in September before a vote on the Palestinian state."
