Kadima MK slams Religious Ministry's marriage restrictions

Kadima MK Shlomo Molla on Tuesday slammed recent measures by the Religious Services Ministry to restrict marriages outside the rabbinate.
Molla criticized the ministry's decision to slash the number of marriages that Tzohar - a rabbinical council outside the national rabbinate - can perform.
"Restricting [Tzohar] will cause a split in society; this is an important program that aims to bridge the gap between secular and religious Israelis," Molla said.
The Kadima MK urged Religious Services Minister Ya'akov Margi (Shas) to "understand that in the State of Israel there exist many sects and a each one will live according to his own faith and his own worldview."
