IDF soldiers to ride Jerusalem light rail for free

The Defense Ministry and CityPass reached an agreement Thursday that will allow uniformed IDF soldier to ride the Jerusalem light rail for free.

IDF soldiers dressed in uniform and carrying necessary identification have been allowed free transportation on trains and buses, but have had to pay full price on the Jerusalem light rail.

The agreement came a month after the opening of the light rail.
