Liberman slams EU's Ashton on remarks regarding Israeli measures against Palestinians

Foreign Minister Avigodor Liberman slammed EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Friday after she issued a statement calling on Israel to backtrack on measures taken against the Palestinians.
Liberman criticized the top EU diplomat for calling on Israel to reverse recent decisions made in regard to the West Bank and east Jerusalem, charging that she should concentrate on a multitude of other issues he indicated were more pressing for Ashton's attention.
He denounced the timing of Ashton's statement at a time when "the whole world is engaged in attempts to solve the crisis regarding Ukraine, when the slaughter of innocent people in Syria continues every days, when in Iraq bomb attacks continue and as there are many other instances around the globe of charged confrontations and conflicts that claim human life".
