Qatar's emir: UN should probe 'Judaization of J'lem'

Qatar called on the United Nations on Sunday to investigate expanding Jewish settlements in east Jerusalem and what he called the "Judaization of Jerusalem."
Speaking at the International Conference on Jerusalem in Doha, Qatar, Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani said the international community must work to stop the "Judaization of Jerusalem," calling on the UN to investigate Israeli actions in Jerusalem since the IDF captured it from Jordan in 1967, according to AFP.
Hamad said a UN investigation would begin a process of "forcing Israel to reverse those measures" in Jerusalem, according to AFP.
Sheikh Hamad warned that Arab opinion, "awakened" in the aftermath of the so-called "Arab Spring" revolutions in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Yemen, will not tolerate "the oppression of a foreign occupation," his label for Israeli actions in Jerusalem and elsewhere in territories captured during the 1967 Middle East war.
