Barak: IDF is prepared to continue operation further

"IDF forces are primed and ready to do whatever it takes to remove the [rockets] threat, strength Israeli deterrence and hit Hamas and the Islamic Jihad hard," Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Sunday during a visit to the Gush Dan Iron Dome battery.

"The confrontation with Hamas is not over yet, it is unclear when it's going to end and we may have to act more extensively and more aggressively," Barak said.

Barak said the IDF will not hesitate to start a ground operation in Gaza if it is necessary, but that Israel is also prepared to stop the operation if Hamas stops firing rockets at Southern Israel.
