Police turn back three buses heading to Majdal Shams

Police stopped three buses with Arab-Israeli passengers allegedly en route to Majdal Shams to bring demonstrators wishing to take part in "Naksa Day" protests on June 5, Army Radio reported Friday. The buses were stopped near Kibbutz Lahavot Habashan and were asked to turn around and return.
The IDF has declared the Golan closed military zone, and have set up a number of checkpoints at loads leading into the area.
Commemorations and rallies for the "Naksa," or setback of the 1967 Six-Day War, have been organized in Israel and also neighboring countries. Organizers in Lebanon announced Friday that they would postpone plans to stage a march up to the Israel border after pressure by Lebanese authorities.
