Dani Dayan: EU abandons Mideast objectivity with directive

The former chairman of the Yesha Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria, Dani Dayan on Tuesday slammed the EU directive to exclude Jewish settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem from any trade agreements with Israel saying it nullified the Union's stance as an objective body on Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“The one-sided and discriminatory EU directive means Europe had effectively decided to abandon any involvement it had in the Middle East peace process," Dayan said in a statement.
"By aligning itself with the most extreme Palestinian demands, while also refusing to define Hezbollah as a terror organization, the EU can no longer be perceived as a neutral or objective,” he added.
