Erdan rallies against building coal plants in Ashkelon

Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan on Monday called for the cancellation of the planned construction of coal-powered electricity plants in Ashkelon. The new minister, who was born in the coastal city, called for an emergency Knesset committee meeting on the matter.
