14 UK troops die in aircraft crash in Afghanistan

Fourteen British armed personnel died when their aircraft crashed in Afghanistan, the British Ministry of Defense said Saturday. The dead included 12 Royal Air Force personnel, a Royal Marine and an army soldier, the ministry said. Military commanders in Afghanistan earlier said a NATO aircraft had crashed Saturday in southern Afghanistan.
