2 US, 3 Afghan soldiers killed by roadside bombs

A roadside bomb hit a convoy of Afghan soldiers in eastern Afghan mountains, killing three and wounding four, the Defense Ministry said Wednesday, while the US-led coalition confirmed that two soldiers killed were US troops. Elsewhere, the coalition reported the deaths of 17 suspected militants in three operations conducted Sunday and Monday. Two coalition soldiers were wounded in one of the battles.
