Blair says he's optimistic on ME momentum

Newly appointed peace envoy Tony Blair said Thursday he would travel to the Middle East soon and was optimistic momentum could be regained in long, moribund talks between Israel and the Palestinians. Blair, attending his first high-level meeting of the international diplomatic Quartet on the Middle East, said there is "no more important issue for peace and security in the world," and that he felt duty-bound to do what he could.
