Indonesia offers to send troops to Lebanon

Indonesia is prepared to contribute around 450 troops for a possible UN-led peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said on Tuesday. Yudhoyono made the offer after meeting Middle Eastern ambassadors to Indonesia, which is the world's most populous Muslim nation. "Indonesia is ready to send about one battalion to held keep peace there," Yudhoyono told reporters.
