Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Tuesday that Japan may impose additional sanctions against North Korea without waiting to confirm whether it conducted a nuclear weapons test. Abe also said Japan's objective was not to seek a regime change in North Korea, but to pressure the reclusive country to change its policies. North Korea declared Monday it tested a nuclear weapon at an underground facility in the country, but Japan, US and other countries have yet to verify the test.
