N. Korea's Kim Jong Il denies he has health problems

North Korea's Kim Jong Il denied Thursday that he has any problems with his health, dismissing media reports that have claimed the reclusive leader was suffering from a range of ailments. "South Korean media reported that I have diabetes and even heart disease, but the fact is that is not the case at all," Kim said during a farewell luncheon at the end of a three-day summit with South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun. A team of German doctors visited the North earlier this year, prompting speculation they had performed unspecified heart surgery on Kim - which they denied. South Korea's spy agency says Kim has chronic heart disease and diabetes but that they are not serious enough to affect his public activity.
