Report: Top US official says Obama will discuss settlements with Netanyahu

A senior US official said that President Barack Obama will discuss the Jewish settlements in the West Bank with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu during their upcoming meeting in Washington on May 18, the London-based al-Hayat newspaper reported on Saturday. According to Israel Radio, the official told the newspaper that the Obama administration believes the settlement issue is central to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
