US Navy helicopter crashes into Pacific; 4 aboard

A military helicopter with four people aboard crashed into the Pacific Ocean about 50 miles (80 kilometers) off the California coast, a Navy spokesman said. It was unclear if there were any survivors. The helicopter based at Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado was on a training mission when it went down Friday afternoon, Cmdr. Jack Hanzlik said.
