Only 111 Likud members submitted their candidacy for the Likud's Knesset list when registration closed Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. The number of candidates was down from the expected number of 400 when the polls suggested the Likud would win 40 Knesset seats. Likud director general Arik Brami said that the quality and the quantity of candidates showed that the party was alive and well.
