19-year-old arrested for murdering homeless man

Police arrested a 19-year-old youth suspected of murdering Edward Novikov, a homeless man aged 45, in Bat Yam, sources said on Thursday morning. The youth allegedly brought Novikov to his home and beat him. When police arrived at the scene, the youth explained that he had to subdue the man who had begun acting wildly, throwing objects around the house and threatening him. Novikov was taken to the hospital and died of his wounds two days later.
