30 illegal residents caught picking protected plants

Thirty illegal residents were apprehended Wednesday afternoon near Beit Kama in the Negev after Israel Nature and National Parks Protection Authority rangers caught them picking Akuvit Hagalgal (Gundelia tournefortii) - an edible plant with "protected" status. All 30 were transferred to police custody.
