Palestinian vehicle crashes into IDF Hummer near Ofra; 4 soldiers lightly hurt.

Six Palestinians died on Friday after their car swerved into the opposite lane and crashed into an IDF armored vehicle.

The incident occurred early Friday evening on Highway 60, near the West Bank settlement of Ofra.

Apparently, the Palestinian car had a flat tire, causing it to divert from its course.

Five of the Palestinians were at first reported to be critically injured, but were subesequently pronounced dead at the scene. The sixth was seriously injured in the accident and succumbed to his wounds at the Ramallah hospital.

The four IDF soldiers who were inside the Hummer sustained light injuries and were transferred to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

Police were investigating the incident, and the highway was blocked to traffic.
