A 70-year-old man was pulled from the water at the Tzemah beach near the Kinneret on Friday. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. The incident happened as the National Labor Court was debating whether to approve a strike by the Lifeguards Union, which has been protesting low salaries for rookie lifeguards. Israelis have been warned not to swim at beaches where no lifeguard is on duty.
