Meretz-Yahad leader Yossi Beilin urged Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to cooperate with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas following the ultimatum that the PA president gave Palestinian factions concerning the acceptance of a state with 1967 borders. "Olmert must understand that something has given way amongst the Palestinian leadership and Abu Mazen's call to adopt the 'prisoners initiative' includes all the terms outlined by Israel to Hamas. It obligates Israel to negotiate immediately and intensely with the Palestinians," claimed Beilin.
