Erekat: Israel agreed to free Palestinians who barricaded themselves in 2002

Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat said Sunday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas were expected to meet on Monday, Israel Radio reported. Erekat told 'The Voice of Palestine' radio station that Israel and the PA had agreed in principle to free a group of Palestinians detained after they barricaded themselves inside Bethlehem's Church of Nativity during Operation Defensive Shield in 2002.
