Figures show Sinai infiltration attempts increased

An increase in the number of attempted infiltrators with the intention of committing acts of terror had raised concern among security officials on Tuesday. Commander of the Ramon Border Police unit, Assistant Commander Avshalom Peled, displayed figures that showed a substantial increase in the number of terrorist infiltration attempts and weapons smuggling efforts into Israeli territory from the Sinai Peninsula, Army Radio reported.
