The Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee voted Sunday to extend the emergency status granted to communities in the Gaza periphery that have been under rocket attack. The extension, which was requested by Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilna'i, will allow communities to receive extra funding and IDF support while the attacks are ongoing.
