Halutz nixes idea of volunteer army

IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz said Sunday at the 6th Annual Herzliya Conference that Israel could not sustain an army comprised of volunteers only. According to Halutz, a volunteer army would be "below standard," and he said that he would do everything in his power to assure that the idea would be quashed.
