Hamas and Fatah try to halt mounting tensions

Hamas and Fatah representatives agreed late Saturday night to curb the activists in their movements in order relieve tensions which have emerged between party members that led to clashes in which 30 people were wounded. "We have agreed to call on our people to stop the disturbances for the sake of national unity," said a Fatah spokesman following a meeting of representatives from both parties.
