An Egged bus driver was lightly wounded when haredim threw stones at his vehicle as it drove down Hayarden Street in Beit Shemesh on Sunday evening. MDA staff treated the driver, and bus service in the area was halted. Another driver fired shots into the air in order to disperse the protestors. Earlier on Sunday, dozens of haredim blocked the road, protesting the fact that the Egged buses do not require the separation of men and women.
