The IDF arrested six left-wing activists who entered a closed military zone near the settlement of Bat Ayin on Saturday. Several Israeli and foreign activists had accompanied some 30 Palestinians to help them cultivate their agricultural lands. The group clashed with settlers, with both sides hurling stones at each other, prompting the IDF and Border Police to declare the area off limits. The army said that the settlers left the area, while six left-wing activists refused to leave and were subsequently detained for questioning. They were released shortly afterwards.
