Daniel Shek, Israel's envoy to Paris, was summoned to the French Foreign Ministry on Thursday for clarifications regarding an incident last month in which Israeli jets flew low over French UN peacekeepers stationed in Lebanon. French Defense Minister Michelle Alliot-Marie told the French parliament on Thursday that the French soldiers were "seconds away" from opening fire on the IAF jets.
