J'lem Police on high alert for Ramadan; Cave of Patriarchs closed to Jews

Jerusalem Police were on high alert on Friday morning in preparation for the Ramadan prayers at the Temple Mount. According to Army Radio, the Cave of the Patriarchs will be closed to Jews for the next few days in an effort to prevent hostilities during the coinciding holidays of both religions. The site will be open to Muslims only. Afterwards, the site will return to its usual mode of operation.
