Police Inspector General Moshe Karadi told the Cabinet Sunday that dozens of policemen were wounded during last week's evacuation of the Amona outpost despite the fact that they were wearing protective gear, including helmets and bullet-proof vests. This fact indicates the extreme violence of the protestors against the evacuating forces, Karadi said. The thousands of people that assembled to resist the evacuation hurled stones, bricks, nails, irons and glass at the evacuating teams, Karadi reported.
