Kibbutz resident jailed for drug trafficking

Kibbutz Gesher Haziv resident Ron Dotan was sentenced on Tuesday to eight-and-a-half years in prison after he was convicted of a string of drug trafficking offences including cocaine smuggling and sending illegal narcotics from Argentina in wine bottles. Army Radio reported that Dotan's wife, who was convicted of involvement in her husband's illegal activities, was jailed for four years.
