Likud Knesset faction members on Tuesday toured communities in the North that had been hit by the escalating violence. While in Haifa, Opposition head Binyamin Netanyahu said that Israel needed to continue defending itself even without international backing, and that it had to "be strong like the United States" during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following a tour of the Haifa area, the Likud MKs visited hospitals that were treating the wounded, and met with various community leaders.
