In an attempt to attract young voters ahead of the March 28 general elections, Meretz-Yahad decided on Thursday to support the usage of drugs that are defined as "light," such as marijuana. The party said a distinction should be made between the use of cannabis and more dangerous drugs such as cocaine and heroine. "Police should not waste its valuable time, but rather focus on the fight against hard drugs and those who distribute them," party sources said.
