Merhavin Regional Council head, workers arrested for bribery

Police on Monday arrested the head of the Merhavim Region Council, along with several other council workers for bribery and other breaches of trust after they allegedly received kickbacks from a building contractor in return for rigging tenders in his favor. The police were conducting searches in the offices of the regional council as well as in the home of the contractor, who was also arrested.
