Netanyahu, Barak agree not to cut defense budget

In a meeting which ended in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak came to an agreement on the defense budget. The two agreed in principal that there would be no cuts to the defense budget. The Treasury will formally present its recommendations for the national budget to a special cabinet session later Tuesday.
