New judges to undergo security background checks by the Shin Bet

Applicants for judicial positions will have to undergo security background checks by the Shin Bet from now on, Channel 2 reported Sunday. All applicants, regardless of their background, will undergo the process, which may include a polygraph test, Channel 2 News said, adding that the procedure had been approved by the justice system.
