The father of kidnapped IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit, Noam Shalit, said in an interview to Israel Radio on Sunday that there had been no progress in the various efforts to negotiate for his son's release. "I am aware of contacts but not of advancement, and therefore I am not encouraged," Shalit said. "The advancement is only in the newspapers."
