The faculty of the Open University of Israel went on strike on Sunday, demanding that the university's administration provide them better conditions and secure them in a collective agreement. Approximately 1,300 teachers are employed by the university, and 42,000 students study at some fifty centers run by the university across the country. They will all be closed throughout the strike.
