PM: Will make 'great effort' to make Annapolis first step to peace

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Tuesday he would make a "great effort" to ensure that the Annapolis peace conference becomes a first step towards peace, Israel Radio reported. Speaking at a conference of the "Computer for Every Child" project in Afula, Olmert said it was imperative to avoid making excuses and to venture forward in negotiations despite the risks involved.
