Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will present for cabinet approval on Sunday the appointment of Naomi Ben-Ami as the next head of "Nativ".
Ben-Ami would be the first woman to run the agency, also known as Lishkat Hakesher, which helps to facilitate the aliya of Jews from the Former Soviet Union.
Her selection caps more than a year of deliberations by a committee, headed by Cabinet Secretary Yisrael Maimon, assembled to nominate candidates for the politicized post.
