PMO: Olmert not opposed to meeting Abbas

The Prime Minster's Office said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert would not be opposed to meeting Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, but that Abbas was demanding that the prime minister announce the release of Palestinian prisoners at the end of the meeting. Olmert has said that the freeing of Palestinian prisoners would only take place once capture IDF soldier Cpl.Gilad Shalit has been returned.
